Ignorance is strength
During the roman reign , in a country side far from the roman capital a man of about 33 years old was crucified after being tortured by the soldiers. He died of his wounds and after 3 days he resurrected from the dead. His apprehended before his loved disciples thus proving that he was the savior of mankind. His name was Jesus Christ and he was God himself.
Another incident took place far before this, in the Eden Garden . Two characters involved in the story are Adam and Eve,the very first human beings who the God created in his own image. God had commanded the man:
"Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." : Gen 2:16-17
But they broke the only commandment and commit the first sin by eating the forbidden fruit .Thereafter God banished them from the Eden garden.
We are the descendants of this Adam and Eve.
The self sacrifice of Jesus laid the foundation stone of Christianity. Christians believes that the sacrifice of Jesus had undone the incident that took place in the Eden garden. The humanity who were banned from the garden has the hope of entering there again,but he can only do so through Jesus.This is the founding principles of Christianity.
Without believing in these 2 incidents literally you can't be a christian. The reason is that if the Adam and Eve never committed the first sin, then there would be no need for a savior. There would be no Original sin and definitely baptism is not required, Thus Christianity would have no credibility.
The problem is these incidents are contradictory to common logic,scientific rationality and most importantly it is self contradictory.
If God is omniscient, he would have known before hand that human would commit the first sin, but in the story he never seems to know that. Only when he walks through the garden and sees the human only came to understand that they has eaten from the tree of life. This loos like a silly contradiction when there are doubts like why was there even such a tree. Another one is, bible says that man comes to know about good and evil only after eating the fruit.Why did they commit a sin by eating the fruit if they are so pure inside before that?How could they be tempted by the devil?

Obviously, it's not needed to explicitly state that these story doesn't agree with the evolution theory . If Adam and Eve were the first human beings then the age of mankind is approximately around 6000 years, no explanation could cover that up. Plus none of the stories has any sort of close relativity with logic and proofs. These creation story is really close to the Greek mythology from which this one must be inspired. Maybe it is all due to these contradictions and the lack of logic that many Christians seems to avoid taking these stories literally. But the stand taken by Catholic church is questionable. They never say the story is not true also they say it should not be taken literally. How can a person do both? If the story is not to be taken literally means it is just a story , only the inner meaning to be taken. But church says Adam and Eve is true, the forbidden fruit is true and things about original sin is also true. The truth is that,catholic church cannot in anyway say its just a story for their whole credibility lies in that incident.
Coming to the Crucifixion of Jesus, what has humanity or anyone gained in his death? His death is the reason why father decided to forgive humans for the sin committed by Adam and Eve. Why the all powerful God could not just forgive? Remember the same God has been always with the people of Israel, saving them from the Egyptian pharaoh and there all there doesn't seems to be such a big issue between the God and people. He even take them into the promised land, given them the ten commandments. He was a God for the people of Israel alone that times, its pretty visible that he was nothing more than a tribal god, did not had the image of the global God like that of Christianity. People prayed to him during war for defeating the enemy. Such a narrow minded God he was during that period, he even went to such extreme measures of killing the Israels enemies. Yet When did the sudden requirement of a sacrifice came into the picture. Other than the needs created by Church there was never any requirement of Jesus. He was a man who happened to die on cross for blasphemy(the historicity of Jesus is always argument-able, there are not much historical proof for his existence) by the roman empire, one among many such characters probably. The actions and his death were celebrated during the later period by the writings of Paul mainly and most importantly by the Christening of roman empire. If it was not for the latter incident, Christianity would not have been so prominent as it is of now. Throughout new testament we can see actions of roman empire in favor of Jesus and Jesus also supporting the Roman system. In bible Jesus is said to have done many miracles, he resurrected someone from death,he gave vision to the blind and many more.I was wondering what kind of community he was living in , these miracles were performed publicly and many refused to believe him. Only explanation might be that these miracles must have been a common thing that days or these miracles are pure lies. I certainly agree with the latter.
So coming back to the issue of why Jesus died on cross. What was the need? What changes happened after it?
He died because he was crucified for blasphemy and there was never any significant changes after his death. The only change it bring-forth is a new religion called Christianity which would create an empire and reign the Europe for many centuries , which is not something to be proud of(Many rimes including burning people at stake, curbing the scientific growth ,crusades, many rapes were committed by Church or by people representing the Church). Nothing changes before and after Christ, everything is just the same. He died for something he may believed but there is nothing visible in front of us to prove its significance. All these centuries people believed in this religion and then Scientific developments came, the period of dark age came to an end an even then many still believes in it, conduct holy masses and again preaches their children to do the same. Even with all these developments people refuse to come out of dark age beliefs can only be described as ignorance. The very foundation of Christianity is questionable, yet this religion like many other thrives and goes unquestionable like its perfect. All these contradicting matters are right before every person, anyway who has a brain can have and should have these doubts. But still people believe in Religion.
Not only do they believe, they also pray to God for benefits.Here the believer is the beneficiary. Praying is intended to change the circumstances to suit his/her life. But an all knowing God regardless of whether you pray or knows the bigger picture, so there is not a slightest possibility of God having a wrong verdict. Yet human beings is trying to change the Gods plan so he could be the beneficiary.Even son of God who is God himself prays:
“My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
Why would he of all person would pray, he is God himself but still he sees the father as an entirely different entity. He is asking to let the sufferings to be taken away but including a clause for the Father to do as per his will not of Jesus. This leads to the doubt in concept of trinity itself but that's another contradicting topic. The concept of prayer is not suitable for a religion where their god is omniscient. There is nothing to negotiate because God knows everything and everything happens according to his plan. Praying is contradiction to belief in a omniscient God. So no true believer need to pray. But if there is no prayer which includes the giving of money as a momentum of their gratitude the existence of Church is not possible.

People are Ignorant towards logic, evidence and to their own senses. Even they believe in self contradicting stories. Sometimes the same person who believes in evolution also believes that his forefathers reach back to Adam and Eve. They seem to believe in two contradicting statements at the same time.Most of the people are capable of raising doubts, come-on they have their doubts but they are refusing even to consider the need for such a doubt. Maybe it can be characterized as a freedom of individual, perhaps it could have been left like that.But if it was not for the doctrines that parishes teaches them during childhood days, how many would have been Christians,or any other religious follower ? This indoctrination of Beliefs is the tool used by the Church to enslave the people. They are brainwashed and have been forced to believe in it through various methods such as inciting fear of God, love of God and the preposterous concept of Heaven and Hell. This enslavement is the reason for the ignorance. But it not right to consider the Church as a criminal organization trying to deliberately trying to enslave these people, indeed they are also slave of these belief system that has been passed on to them from the previous generation.
The right to belief in any religion can be seen as the freedom of the individual. But seldom does the people have a freedom in believing in what they really want . They are brought up being ignorant to the truth lying right in-front of them, they are enslaved from such a young age.
"There is no dignity in being enslaved".
This can change and change will happen, what we are seeing is only the glimpses of the future generation, the golden age is yet to arrive...
